THE 3 GENERATIONS

Family is important to Cobbler's Corner. We value the love and hard work it takes to build a business from the ground up. Pictured to the right, Terry is standing with his daughter, Jennifer (3rd from the left), and his granddaughter, Destini (furthest right). MaryAnn from k105 was also kind enough to join them in a picture with the three generations behind Cobbler's Corner.

Terry, we love you and everything you've built for us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

TERRY THOMPSON, OWNER

Before opening his first shoe repair shop in 1975, Terry was a steel fabricator and welder. An incident while welding caused him to suffer a severe back injury, which required several surgeries to heal. Terry's injury was what pushed him into a career in shoe repair. While recovering, Terry purchased his first three pieces of machinery and taught himself the trade of shoe repair. Pictured to the left is the first shoe repair shop Terry opened in 1975. Later in the 80's, he moved to a larger shop once business began to pick up. While continuing to do shoe repair in his new location, he began carrying Red Wing boots.

Cobbler's Corner is now at its fifth location. The store has also doubled in size twice. Terry invented and patented the E-Z Caster as well as the E-Z Gait Drop-Foot Brace. Terry is proud to be the owner of the oldest, continuous business that is still in operation in Columbiana, Ohio. With over 50 years of dedicated service, he retired in 2017. Before retiring, Terry helped to train our expert pedorthist, Jennifer. He left the business with several pedorthic awards. The second and third Thompson generations are proudly continuing the family business today.
